Looking for a fun, safe, and expert-led acrobatics class for your child? Acro with Amy’s Term 1 classes are now open—perfect for kids who love to flip, tumble, and move!
If your child is always upside down, flipping over furniture, or testing their limits with handstands in the lounge, it might be time to get them into an acro class that knows what they’re doing. Acro with Amy offers fun, safe, and expert-led acrobatics training for kids of all ages—from tiny tumblers finding their feet to confident movers ready to tackle aerials and flips.
Think cartwheels, walkovers, and handsprings—all taught with a focus on strength, flexibility, and technique. Acro is similar to gymnastics, with kids learning the same floor skills but without the bars and beams, blending classic dance techniques with the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements (cool, right?!). Whether your child wants to build confidence, master impressive tricks, or just have fun moving, these classes tick all the boxes.

What Makes Acro with Amy Different?
Acro with Amy is led by Amy herself, who’s been teaching acro for years across the South Island and even Maine, USA. With a Bachelor of Performing Arts and multiple certifications in acrobatics, dance, and flexibility coaching, she knows how to teach skills safely while making sure kids have a blast.
One big difference? More teachers, smaller classes. Instead of kids standing around waiting their turn, Acro with Amy keeps things hands-on, with up to five teachers per session. That means more individual attention, more progress, and less time sitting on the sidelines.
Another bonus—the price. While many acro and gymnastics classes in Christchurch charge a premium, Acro with Amy keeps fees as affordable as possible without cutting corners. That means qualified teachers, proper spotting, and a well-equipped studio—without the hefty price tag.
