Tiny Testers review Silly Qs:

If you’ve ever tried to play a proper board game with a three-year-old (almost four, thank you very much), you’ll know it’s usually a wild ride involving made-up rules, missing pieces, and at least one meltdown over whose turn it is. So when we cracked open Silly Qs, we weren’t exactly expecting miracles. But guess what? We had an absolute blast.

The Lowdown on Silly Qs

Silly Qs is a card game designed for kids aged 5 to 10 and their families, but honestly, it’s a hoot for anyone willing to get a bit silly. The aim? Laugh together, connect, and do outrageously silly tasks with the help of the game’s very own Silly Qrew (think cheeky cartoon characters who egg you on in the best way possible).

It’s built on a solid foundation too. Experts in child development helped craft the game, making sure it actually supports important stuff like empathy, emotional regulation, and problem-solving. But don’t worry—it doesn’t feel like homework. It feels like giggling until your face hurts and doing impromptu chicken impressions in your living room.

How It Played Out (Literally)

We roped in our resident almost-four-year-old, grabbed a few snacks (essentials), and jumped straight in. The game comes with a simple parent guide, which we barely had to glance at because the gameplay is genuinely easy to pick up. You draw cards, answer funny questions, and complete silly challenges. Simple.

There’s clever scaffolding built into the game too, meaning kids can get more independent with it over time. But even with a younger tester, we didn’t have to do too much tweaking. We adapted a few questions on the fly (“What’s the silliest thing you’ve ever eaten?” became “What’s the yuckiest thing Mummy has made you eat?”—spoiler, it was broccoli) and skipped a couple of the trickier tasks, but the fun didn’t stop.

And honestly? Watching a three-year-old debate whether dinosaurs would prefer ice cream or sausages is peak entertainment. 10/10 would recommend.

The Big Win

The beauty of Silly Qs is that it isn’t about getting the answers “right.” It’s about sharing a laugh, learning a little bit about each other, and just being gloriously silly for the sake of it. And at a time when everything feels a bit serious, it’s exactly the kind of playful, low-pressure family time we need more of.

There’s also no pressure to play for hours. We played a quick 10-minute round before dinner and everyone left the table smiling. Plus, it turns out a lot of silly questions are excellent conversation starters—especially when small humans are otherwise too tired, grumpy, or distracted to chat properly.

The Verdict

Silly Qs doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s simple, it’s funny, it’s full of heart. And if you’re anything like us, you’ll find yourself secretly looking forward to pulling out a card or two the next time your afternoon needs a rescue mission. In fact, you don’t even need to stick to the rules if your littles are a bit too young for the strategy side. Just draw a few cards at random and see where it takes you!

After an hour of giggles, questionable dance moves, and some truly epic silly faces, our almost-four-year-old tester gave Silly Qs a glowing “130 out of 10 stars” and declared it “the best game ever because it has silly in it.” High praise from a very discerning critic.
