Where to stay in Blenheim with kids – why we loved Carnmore Chateau Marlborough:

One Bedroom Grande Apartment at Carnmore Chateau showing separate bedroom and living area perfect for families

Perfect Location for Families Visiting Blenheim

The hotel’s central Blenheim location makes exploring with kids effortless. Everything families need is within walking distance:

Pollard Park’s outstanding playground (a must-visit for any family in Blenheim) – and it’s properly excellent, not your average council playground. Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000 for family swimming sessions is close by, along with the impressive new Te Kahu o Waipuna library, perfect for story time or when you need somewhere calm. Seymour Square gives kids space to burn off energy, and family-friendly cafes, restaurants, and shops are scattered throughout the town centre. Need a taxi? The front desk sorts it in minutes.

Family-Perfect Accommodation

Our One Bedroom Grande Apartment was ideally designed for families staying in Blenheim. The separate bedroom closes off from the living area – absolutely essential for parents who want evening downtime while kids sleep. The fold-out sofa bed accommodates extra children, and cots are available on request. Having a full kitchen and dining table makes family meals simple, whether you’re preparing breakfast before a day out or heating up leftovers for picky eaters.

Parents will appreciate the luxury touches too – that incredible Jacuzzi bath with satin jet shower is perfect for unwinding after busy days exploring Blenheim with kids, while the bedroom TV provides post-bedtime entertainment.

Kid-Friendly Hotel Facilities

The heated pool (October to March) is a major drawcard for families. Kids can splash safely while parents relax on the loungers, and the poolside bar means refreshments are always close. Complimentary towels and BBQ facilities make it easy to spend entire afternoons here – a lifesaver when you need downtime from sightseeing.

There’s also a gym onsite with treadmills, bikes, weights and yoga gear, though with children in tow we gave that one a miss this time.

Family Dining Made Easy

Quench Restaurant & Bar understands families. The relaxed indoor atmosphere has cosy corners perfect for families with young children, while the poolside dining option feels like a mini-vacation. The menu balances kid-friendly favourites with options that satisfy adult tastes – no need to compromise or venture out with tired children.
