Storytime at Riccarton House
A gold coin, a fluffy, and a dose of French château energy? Count us in. Storytime at Riccarton House is back in the fanciest room your toddler has ever wriggled around in. Think books, bubbles and Tracey working her storytelling magic—plus a free fluffy with your large coffee from The Quarters. Très chic.

Glow in the Park is back and bringing its free sparkly magic to Ashburton Domain. The trees are lit, the kids are hyped, and bedtime routines are officially cancelled. Worth it.

Messy Mates: Big Explorers
The only time you’ll willingly hand your child a tray of goo, rice, foam and glitter. These sessions are the messy playdream—split by age, loaded with sensory fun, and yes, absolutely requiring a change of clothes.

King’s Birthday at Ferrymead Heritage Park
Steam trains, biscuit decorating with Lady Crumble, a brass band and a royal crown-making workshop—because what’s a long weekend without a bit of pomp? Ferrymead goes full heritage with trains from Pleasant Point and The Plains, plus steam tram rides and vintage vibes all round.
