Learn about bees at Richmond Community Gardens

Join Richmond Community Gardens for a day all about bees. Taking place at Riverlution Eco Hub on Vogel Street, bring your little ones to this fun and educational morning activity that includes activities such as planting pollinator-friendly flowers, making your a bee hotel and hive watching.

Learn Coding and Robotics Free Open Day

Is your little one a big technology buff? Register and join Scratchpad at their free coding and robotics open day in Papanui. Foster creativity and develop their critical thinking skills in a workshop designed to “equip young minds with the skills they need to thrive in this AI-driven era. Suitable for ages 5 to 17.

What's on for kids this weekend, beginner ice skating lessons

Join a casual group ice skating lesson led by qualified coaches for just $12 on Sundays – including skate hire. Perfect for learning the basics, all ages and abilities are welcome to join in these quieter sessions. No bookings are required, pay at the door.

Black Ferns vs Canada

Fans at Black Ferns vs Canada rugby match

Black Ferns are storming Apollo Projects Stadium in a daytime kick-off against Canada. Come and get behind your wāhine toa in what promises to be a great day of rugby in a family-friendly setting. Tickets for kids start from $10, however, kids go free with two paying adults in the Family Zone ($40).

Kiddos can meet their favourite players on Saturday, 18 May, 2pm at Riverside Market. Bring your memorabilia and meet the team!

Clothed in Love Garage Fundraiser

Grab a bargain and help raise funds to support Canterbury charity, Clothed in Love.  Starting from 8am, fill a bag for $5 and browse a selection of shoes, books, snow gear, wetsuits, and plenty of other miscellaneous items.
