Loopy Tunes Term Concert for Preschoolers

Preschool faves, Loopy Tunes are holding a 40-minute interactive bilingual music performance for you and your kiddos. This teddy bear-themed performance invites you to dance, sing and move your body, and then enjoy lots of bubbles at the end of the show. Bring your favourite teddy or soft toy with you! Tickets must be bought before attending the event.

When: Friday, 24 May, 9.30 – 10.10am
Where: Risingholme Learning Centre, 22 Cholmondeley Avenue, Opawa, Christchurch, 
How much: $15 for one adult and one child, $8 per extra child over 1.

Envirokids: Worm Farming & Composting

Envirokids Worm Farming and Composting

A free event for all young nature enthusiasts, join Envirokids and Richmond Community Gardens to transform up-cycled ice cream containers into worm farms. There will be exciting activities to participate in while little ones learn all about composting. All materials are provided to help you get stuck into this green, DIY project.

Ōtautahi May Youth Mākete

Shop market stalls run by young entrepreneurs as they share their small businesses with families across Christchurch. Browse a variety of stalls including jewellery, art, crochet, pottery, baked goods, books and clothing, and enjoy live music.

Held at Rolleston Community Centre each month, this market features jewellery, artworks, crafts, plants, woodwork, bath & body products, candles, baby/children’s wear, knitting, home decor, coffee, and even more to explore.

Sensory Screening: IF

Sensory Cinema Screening of New Kids Movie, IF

“After discovering she can see everyone’s imaginary friends, a girl embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids.” Join a special sensory screening of the latest children’s film, IF. HOYTS Cinema at Westfield Riccarton will be dimming the lights and softening the volume so that little ones with sensory needs can feel safe and enjoy a movie with family.

When: Sunday, 26 May, 9.30-11am

Ōtautahi Preloved Clothing Market

If you want to refresh your wardrobe, Ōtautahi Preloved Clothing Market will showcase over 30 stallholders selling their preloved high street and designer clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, jewellery, and makeup items. The clothing will predominantly be female-focussed, however, there will be a small selection of men’s and children’s clothing to shop. Plenty of off-street parking is available, and cash is preferable.

When: Sunday, 26 May, 10-12pm
