Me and My Nana
There’s something special about spending time with Nana, and this sweet, funny, and heartwarming show captures it perfectly. Expect ribbons, dancing shoes, and a duck that goes moo. Designed for tamariki aged 1–5, this gentle theatre piece is full of surprises, music, and that classic Nana magic. Created by Cubbin Theatre Company and backed by Creative NZ.

Christchurch Night Market – Bian Lian Face-Changing Performance
A crowd favourite, the Night Market is back with its usual lineup of 50+ international food stalls and family fun. On the Friday, you’ll catch a traditional Bian Lian (face-changing) performance—a captivating art form that’ll wow the kids and have them trying to switch masks with lightning speed. Great food, live entertainment, and free to enter.

Messy Mates x Crowntastic Events: Winter Special
Frozen fans, this one’s calling. A winter-themed messy play session with appearances by Elsa and Anna, plus optional face painting. Sensory play without the clean-up? Yes please. The 9:30 session has sold out, but there are still tickets for the 11am session.

Family Yoga – Momentum Studios Ravenswood
Expect a little monkeying around. These playful yoga sessions bring the whole family together with group poses, breathing, and a mix of silliness and calm. Perfect for connecting with your kids, building strength, and learning how to find your stillness. Led by certified Rainbow Kids Yoga instructor Jazz, who’s also a trained ECE and primary teacher.

Insects in the Garden – Envirokids at Richmond Community Garden
It’s all about the bugs this weekend. Pop along to The Kiosk and dive into the world of pollinators, soil improvers, and bug heroes. Spot them, learn how to protect their habitats, then get your hands dirty making wildflower seed bombs to take home. Bees and butterflies will thank you later.
