Teddy Bear Sleepover at New Brighton Library

Have you ever wondered what your kid’s favourite soft toy gets up to at night? Drop your cuddly companion off at New Brighton Library for a sleepover and let the librarians take care of them. Then, the next day, head back for a fun-filled Storytime to hear all about their adventures. Complete with songs, stories, and a cute craft to take home. Just remember to bring your PJs!

Loopy Tunes Concert in Avonhead

Get ready to sing, dance, and move those little bodies at Loopy Tunes, a super fun interactive concert for preschoolers. Expect a lively mix of waiata, dancing, and bubbles – a great opportunity for your wee one to burn off some energy while learning a bit of Māori culture along the way. If you’ve got a favourite song from their classes, email ahead and they’ll try to fit it into the show.

St Mark’s School Fair

Looking for a classic fair day with plenty of excitement? The St Mark’s School Fair is a must-do on Saturday. With fun rides, games, and live performances, there’s no shortage of activities to keep the little ones entertained. The food stalls are a highlight, so come hungry! Whether you’re into winning prizes, catching up with friends, or just browsing the stalls, it’s a great way to spend a Saturday with the family.

Woolston Gala

This family-friendly gala has everything you need for an afternoon of fun. Get the kids involved in the inflatable obstacle course or the pedal-powered rides, and while they’re busy, enjoy some tasty local food or browse the market stalls. The event kicks off with a kapa haka performance, followed by live music from the Woolston Concert Brass and Junior Band.

Selwyn Diwali Festival

The Selwyn Diwali Festival is back and bursting with colour, culture, and community spirit. This family-friendly event features vibrant dance performances, live music, and a massive range of food stalls serving up everything from spicy curries to sweet desserts. Kids can join in on arts and crafts workshops (think henna art and rangoli), and the grand fireworks finale is the cherry on top of this evening. Baby Play – A Workshop for Parents

Join Amy and Hannah from Cubbin Theatre Company for a fun, hands-on workshop designed to help you bond with your baby through play, music, and movement.
